Synopsis
The story of Toronto’s bizarre 1985 “patty wars,” when Jamaican-Canadian bakers went head-to-head with the federal government over the name of their beloved beef patty.
A mixed-media animated documentary about the stories we tell ourselves when looking for love online.
A Brazilian couple uses Capoeira to raise their young son, who battles for life amidst the complications of a rare medical condition. What begins as a portrait about fun, becomes an exploration of their day to day challenges, and a testament to the ancestral practice that keeps their family together.

Synopsis
A short documentary about Marvin Bedward, a 65-year old business executive who refuses to cut his hair. Traumatized by the white barbers who ruined his Afro when he was a child, Marvin sees his long hair as an act of resistance to authority, mainstream culture and his wife.

Synopsis
Although unknown today, Dr. Louis Charles Roudanez used his newspaper—The New Orleans Tribune—to win unprecedented rights for the formerly enslaved a hundred years before the civil rights heroes of the 1960s. A HIDDEN HISTORY follows his descendent Mark Roudané as he uncovers the legacy of his famous ancestor and struggles to understand a childhood where white supremacy was a family value.
